The construction of the barge had been taken place in ‘’THEOGENIS VASSILAKIS shipyard” in MACEDONIA – GREECE under the full supervision of the Hellenic Register of Shipping.

‘’NAJD 1’’ had been registered under  the Hellenic Flag during her  construction  ,while upon her completion was registered under SAO TOME e PRINCIPE flag in order to be carried to SAUDI ARABIA for being  permanently registered under THE KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA flag and trade there.
The overall length is 23, 00 m and has a tonnage of 289 GT. She has a full capacity of carrying 336 Tonnes of dry fish food in 4 cargo holds Port and 4 Starboard.
The fish- feeding system has been made in Norway by STEINSVIK AS Company and at the time being is permanently moored at the facilities of the Saudi Arabian company THARAWARAT SEA.
The Hellenic Register of Shipping attended the barge construction in the shipyard ,upon  successful completion of the technical appraisal and approval of plans and studies, to verify compliance with the applicable Society’ s Rules, Regulations and Standards as well as related National Legislation, performed by the HRS team of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers. The HRS team of Marine Surveyors attended the outfitting shop tests  to verify compliance with the approved design plans and Rule /test standards.
Prior vessel’s delivery, HRS Marine Surveyors attended all the dock trials relating to the barge  and outfitting according to the applicable Society’ s Rules, Regulations and Standards.
